This video is not very significant to what we are talking about, but I just thought it was so cool that I needed to share with everyone. Enjoy!

I liked this video clip because it is of a woman singing. It is very pretty. Everything in the video is about what we have discussed in class from the sounds to the instrument. I guess I'm kind of dorky, but it always amazes me to learn something in class and then to find it and see it in other places. I always get this " Wow it really does exist" thought which is really odd since I'm sure our professors wouldn't lie to us.

This is a video touring the Taj Mahal. I am so fascinated by it and really enjoyed the slides we go to see on it. I thought this was great to learn more information about it. I could also possibly use this video in my classroom.

Because the teacher is breaking out in me, I had to post these lesson plans. I'm always looking for good and interesting plans. I try to relate everything that interests me or that I learn into something I can teach my kids. This might actually be on a higher level than what I would actually be teaching, but it is still a great resouce.

You posted some really interesting videos. My favorite was probably the women playing whatever that instrument was. Her voice and the instrument worked so well together that it created something so beautiful. I learned a lot of things about the Taj Mahal that I did not know. It took 22 years to complete!! Wow, that is crazy and the fact that it was almost torn down once after all that work makes it even more special. I would LOVE to see this one day. I could not imagine walking past the Taj Mahal everyday not even processing wow, that is the famous Taj Mahal instead it just being a special place tourist love to see! I am amazed by the site of it!
ReplyDeleteWow that monkey king video was pretty awesome! It's a really neat story too. He learned by mimicking the movements of monkeys and spiderman! I never would have thought that humans could have that kind of strentch and balance. When he goes upside down, its unreal!
ReplyDeleteIve always been interested in the Taj Mahal. It's such a sweet romantic story. Did you know the Shah wanted it to resemble a teardrop of Allah?
I thouht the climbing man was really interesting video. I really enjoyed the video of the women singing. The singing pattern of indians is so interesting to me. It seems so hard and complicated. I'm sure its just an everyday thing to them. I like how shes tapping the wooden thing for a sort of accompianment.
